pimple popping

as we all know you should never pop a pimple but we all do and the chances are we will never stop so i have come up with a few techniques that will help you pop a pimple without damaging the skin or making the area worse.

you need to remember that a pimple is fluid blocking a pore when popping a pimple you need to think of it as liquid under the skin or think of it as bubble wrap each bubble can be popped.

what you will need.

cold water
boiling water
cotton bud (cotton tip applicator)
cotton pads or cotton balls
antiseptic cream or alcohol wipe/pad
paper towel

what to do.

1 clean the pimple by soaking a cotton ball in water and wiping over pimple, then place face over the hot water to open the pores.
2 take you cotton buds and place one either size of the pimple
3 press the cotton buds together with the pimple in the middle, press until the pimple pops
4 clean away the fluid with a paper towel
5 clean the area again with the water & cotton ball
6 wipe an alcohol wipe of apply antiseptic cream to the popped pimple

never press with your fingers!

good luck

Bezoyl peroxide

today i went to back to my doctors as she wanted to see me after using a product called differing for 6 weeks.
she said my skin looked very clear and i think it has got a little better however i still have blocked pores & blackheads sometimes i may have a few breakouts.

today she has given me a product called Benzoyl Peroxide, it contains vitamin A & k, Zink & Benzoyl peroxide  along with other non active ingredients. it sounds great however it will bleach fabrics obviously as it contains peroxide, i have read many good reviews on the product and i think some of you way want to try it!

it is available over the counter of free from your GP depending on your location & age, you can get it over the counter and it is about £5 for a 50g tube so it will last a few months. it is available in 2.5%, 5% & 10% you should start of at 2.5% as this may work for you and you can keep using that after 1 month of use you can move up to the next percentage.

you simply apply a VERY SMALL amount to the areas you would like yo treat every night or every other night, then wash you hands well! in the morning rinse your face with clean water.
you will need to sleep on old or white sheets & white clothing you dont mind getting bleached, the bleaching effect will happen slowly and usually you can wash it out by the time it become obvious!

good luck

the benefits of green tea

as most of us are aware green tea is one of the best natural substances available to us today, green tea it is rich in antioxidants & vitamins, both vital ingredients our body needs. antioxidants are amazing for our body they can repair and prevent damage to the body and they can even improve our immune system and prevent & kill cancer cells. Overall green tea is am amazing product for our body so today i am going to tell you about its benefits towards acne and how you can use it on your skin.

first things first you need to have some green tea, it is important that the green tea is 100% pure.
when buying green tea either get loose leaf tea or UN-bleached tea bags as these contain no chemicals that could be bad for your skin.

with green tea you either love it or hate it, personally i love it i have several cups a day as it keeps me alert & focused as well my overall health has improved along with my skin, breakouts are still common however they go within 1-2 days, before they could be around for weeks & i am at less risk of getting cancer.

so the first thing to do to help improve your skin is to drink pure green tea, green tea should be drank on its own and you do not need to add milk, 300ML of green tea a day will have positive benefits to health however it is more the better (try to aim for 2-3 cups)

you can also apply the green tea to your face for direct healing of the skin.
the green tea will reduce the size of breakouts & reduce redness. the green tea will also help heal your skin.
today i will teach you how to make a face wash, mask & day wash that can be applied to the skin daily.

Face wash.

what you need.
Pure Green tea (cold)
Sugar

what to do.
1. have you green tea ready it should have been boiled and brewed then left to cool.
2. for ever table spoon of green tea add two table spoons of sugar.
3. mix the sugar & green tea until the consistency is rather thick.
4. once you have washed your body & hair wash you face with the green tea & sugar scrub
5. massage the mixture in to your face for 1 minuted then wash off.

this face wash will exfoliate your skin well and dead skin cells will be removed, overall your face will be rejuvenated and healthy.

Face mask

liquid PVA glue
Bicarbonate of soda (baking soda)

3. add 1 or 2 teaspoons of bicarbonate of soda to the solution & mix again
4. when the mixture is thick apply to the face in the areas you want
5. one applied wait until the mask is dry & hard then peel of from the bottom of your face upwards

if you want to to use this mask again or make more that you need you can store it easily, simply lay out a piece of cling film on a flat surface then pour the mask on to it then lift up the four corners and twist them together to seal the mask, simple open the cling film up and seal again for every use.

this mask will remove dead skin cells, add colour & tine to your skin, it will also help heal the skin and prevent further damage.

Toner

what you need.
lemon juice (squeezed from a fresh lemon)
green tea.

what to to.
1. have you green tea ready it should have been boiled and brewed then left to cool.
2. add 1 tea spoon of green tea to every 2 table spoons of lemon juice
3. mix the green tea & lemon juice until the colour changes.
4. apply a small amount of the mixture to a cotton pad and apply to the face evenly & in small amounts, do this every day before bed & wash off in the morning.

this toner may sting however it will tone the skin, prevent spots, destroy blackheads & remove dead skin. this is one of the best DIY toners you could ever make as it has visible results, i use it every other day as i find daily use can sting and cause a little redness however it is worth it!

good luck with your green tea acne kit.

DIY face mask peel

Face masks are great for putting life back in to skin, i have a great DIY mask that is very effective for dealing with a a wide range of skin problems, this mask also adds collagen (collagen is used my cosmetic surgeons to give people clear healthy skin)

What you need:
1 Egg
Drinking glass
Fork
Kitchen towel / Paper towel
Scissors

What to do:
1. take a piece of kitchen towel or Paper towel that fits over your face
2. cut eye holes and a mouth out of the paper towel
3. crack open and egg and separate the yolk from the whites (yolk is yellow, whites is the clear liquid) keep the egg whites
4. pour the egg whites in to the glass and whisk with a fork until bubbles form
5. apply the egg yolk to your face and the paper towel
6. apply the paper towel to your face so your eyes and mouth are NOT covered, press it down firmly.
7. wait for the mask to dry this can take 10 minutes to 1 hour (dry cool rooms are faster)
8. when the mask is dry peel the mask off (peel upwards, start peeling from your chin and peel up towards your forehead.

this mask will remove some blackheads and i can promise that it will remove oil, dirt & dead skin
this mask also adds collagen to your skin. you will notice that your skin is whiter and the visibility to damaged skin is reduced.

DIY pore strips

DIY pore strips are easy to make however you need to do it right.
Using DIY pore strips allows you to save money and they are better for your skin, the branded strips have a large number of chemicals that are bad for your skin.

What you need:
tube of liquid PVA glue (idealy clear however white is fine)
Gelatin granules
Clean scrap fabric
Plastic tub/cup
Whisk or mixing device

what do to:

1. fill your container with about 30grams of liquid PVA glue.
2. add the gelatin granules to the glue (1 sachet or 1 table spoon)
3. mix the glue and gelatin until it become thick make sure the gelatin granules dissolve
4. cut the fabric to the size you want the strip to be (Cotton polo works best)
5. apply the glue and gelatin mixture to the fabric and apply to a clean face
6. when applied to the face wait until dry (this takes about 10-20 minutes)
7. when the fabric strip is dry and hard peel it of slowly (peel from both sides in or peel upwards)

once the strip has been removed blackheads, dirt & oil should be on your DIY pore strips
if not you have wither not left it to dry fully or you have made the mixture wrong.

for even better results you can add 1 tea spoon of egg whites, this clears the skin of dead skin cells and adds collagen, you can even add a small amount of charcoal to the mix, if you do this mix the glue, gelatin & charcoal in a blender (you only need a small amount of charcoal so the mixture goes black.

the fabric is the best type of strip to use as the glue can stick to it well however you need to apply a tick amount so it doe sent just get absorbed by the fabric, the best material to use is a cotton polo as it has a texture to it  meaning the glue will be secured, if you dont want to use fabric you can either use non adhesive gauze pads or thin card, paper is to thin it will just tear.

these strips should not be used daily, every 3 days is fine!

i hope this advice has helped.

Pore extraction

Pore extraction is one of the best ways to remove blackheads however it can have some negative effects.

what is pore extraction?
Pore extraction is the extraction of blackheads, dirt & oil from the pores in your face.

i have found pore extraction the best way to remove blackheads from the forehead & nose; when extraction blackheads from the nose the best way to to it is to squeeze out the blackheads. ( This is the best way for me to do it you may find a better way) Redness often occurs after extraction and for some people it can last a few days however it is worth it if you do everything correctly.

on my forehead i use an extraction tool it is a small metal bar with a wire eye at the top, you place the blackhead in the center of the eye and press down then the blackhead is removed. i have also found that if you use a syringe without a needle place the hole of the syringe against the blackhead press down then pull the syringe plunger back, this removes the blackhead with suction.

below are some products i recommend for extracting blackheads.

1. Blackhead extractor  very cheap on ebay

2. Pore & blackhead unclog-er (battery powered suction device place over & turn on)

these are the two best ways of extracting blackheads
the battery powered extractors are good however the one above is under £3-$5 so cheap however
it is not very good you may want to get a better one or a branded one as you usually get best results, i have seen 1 that is purple and it come with 4 attachments (i have ordered it from china) i have seen many videos it is great it has a brush, sponge, massage & extractor a full acne remover & prevention kit, you will need to steam your face while using to open the pores best used in the bath. dont get wet!

DAISO Charcoal face mask

today my Daiso charcoal face mask arrived.
when i first seen it i was a little optimistic as it was only £3.56/$5.48 with free shipping from from Hong Kong
i seen videos on YouTube and it had some good results however i have used pore strips and other blackhead removers before with no results however with the Daiso peel off charcoal face mask i has some good results!
large visible blackheads were removed along with dead skin, dirt & oil; generally i am very pleased with the results.

about the product.
the products i made from Oak tree charcoal and it is made in Korea for Daiso Japan, it does contain several chemicals however they are safe to use on skin for hundreds of years Japanese women have used Charcoal to keep their skin clear & clean so Daiso have created a face pack for men & women.
you simply apply it to the area of the skin, you then wait 15 minutes and peel off (you peel from the bottom of your face up) the products i dark black and looks like paint it is not painful and it is easy to do.

Daiso also makes other skin products for blackheads & pimples including charcoal face masks & washes.

out of 10 (10 being the best) i would give the product a 10 as i get results, if you already have results with biore pore strips this products should be even better.
